About Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress
The Silk & Snow Hybrid is our top recommendation for mattresses for heavy people. This mattress offers zoned coils and high density memory foam comparable with the most premium of mattresses, but at an affordable, value-for-money price. The firm edge support combined with the excellent pressure relief and zoned support make this one the unbeatable champion. The luxury quilted cover gives you an extra cozy feel. Heavy sleepers may find ultimate support in many sleeping positions, but we tend to suggest the Medium-Firm model.

Other Mattresses for Heavy Sleepers We Tested

For heavy sleepers that are looking for something different from our best picks, we have listed a few other choices to compare before they make an investment.

Douglas Original Mattress

Mattress Type
Memory Foam

Medium-Firm
6.71/10
Pros
  • 365-night trial for testing
  • Free bedding bundle included
  • Low price point
Cons
  • Low bounce in our bounce test
  • Unboxing smell that lingers
About Douglas Original Mattress
Douglas is a fairly priced, Canadian-made mattress. However, due to the low bounce in our Spring 2025 test and unboxing smell, only a few testers rated it favourably. We’d recommend selecting The Endy mattress instead.

Puffy Cloud Mattress

Price Range

Mattress Type
Memory Foam
Firmness
Medium-Soft
6.26/10
Pros
  • Lifetime warranty
Cons
  • More expensive than other memory foams
  • Deep sinking and high motion transfer
  • Off-gassing lingers for a prolonged period
  • Softer feel may not suit all sleepers
About Puffy Cloud Mattress
Puffy Cloud offers a lifetime warranty to buyers, however, it is more expensive than similar products in the market. Our testers felt a plushness which was described by one editor as a “deep sinking”, and did not score high for testers in comfort. Further, the Puffy did not perform well in our Spring 2025 motion transfer test. We’d recommend considering The Casper instead.

Emma Original Mattress

Price Range
$$
Mattress Type
Memory Foam
Firmness
Medium-Soft
5.87/10
Pros
  • 365-night trial to test
Cons
  • Lack of firmness
  • Extremely high motion transfer
  • Inconsistent edge and lumbar support
  • Deep sinking
About Emma Original Mattress
Although there is 365-night trial for you to test out Emma Original, this mattress did not impress our testers. In our Spring 2025 tests, it scored poorly for motion transfer and had inconsistent edge support, with one tester slipping off the mattress during our tests. We’d recommend considering the S&S Mattress instead.

Logan & Cove Choice

Price Range
$$
Mattress Type
Hybrid
Firmness
Medium-Firm
5.09/10
Pros
  • 365-night trial period to test
  • Free bedding bundle
Cons
  • High motion transfer
  • Low bounce
About Logan & Cove Choice
Although the 365-night trial period sounds quite attractive, Logan & Cove Choice was disliked by our testers. In our Spring 2025 testing, one of our testers noted they could feel the spring coils while lying on the mattress, saying it made them feel like the plush layer might be too thin for their liking. Our tests also observed poorer motion transfer and bounce than the median score. If you’re searching for a Hybrid Mattress with a free bedding bundle, we’d recommend also looking at the Silk & Snow Hybrid.

Juno Mattress

Price Range
$
Mattress Type
Memory Foam
Firmness
Medium
4.89/10
Pros
  • Budget-friendly
Cons
  • Thinner mattress (8")
  • Low edge support
  • Not suitable for sleepers over 250lbs
About Juno Mattress
Juno is a fairly priced mattress in the Canadian market. It has a thinner profile than the other memory foam mattresses we tested, and during our Spring 2025 tests, we noticed heavier bodies sinking lower into the mattress compared to the other mattresses we tested. Nonetheless, this mattress might be good for growing children or vacation homes.
